Communication Studies Program
So You Are Considering a Major or Minor in Communication Studies? Course Offerings Well, we are glad to hear it! Communication Studies is a new Edgewood College undergraduate program that is growing rapidly. As a result our caring, qualified faculty continues to grow, and we constantly are adding on adjunct professors to meet our students’ needs. Preparing you for the future is our first concern. Basically, as a Communication Studies major or minor, each semester you will have the opportunity to take several interesting, and relevant classes. The classes we offer are much applied, and students realize quickly how they can use the communication knowledge from their classes to prosper in their careers and relationships. If you want to become a major or minor, we recommend that you sign up immediately for any available classes. However, in order to understand the requirements of the major and minor, and find out more about the classes we offer, we recommend that you contact Dr. Fred Kauffeld Kauffeld@edgewood.edu, (608)663-2266) to set up an appointment ASAP. By getting an advisor immediately, we can better help you to graduate more efficiently and capitalize on your Edgewood experience. Furthermore, since we are Edgewood's newest major, we are improving continually upon our course offerings and program's organization. Therefore, instead of referring to the existing catalog text, we recommend that you review this page often for updates concerning course offerings, projected course schedules, and text that more clearly explains the expectations of our majors and minors.
