OUR MISSION:
Our Mission is to have a student organization on campus
for all Communication Studies majors and minors in order to develop both
professional and peer contacts within the academic and business realms
of communication. In addition, we plan to facilitate events for members
of the club, as well as campus wide activities to enhance campus
community.

ACTIVITIES WE HAVE COMPLETED:
· Debate Watch (Fall 2004)
· An Evening with Linda Friend (Spring 2005)
· Pizza with the President (Spring 2005)
· Wingra Park Clean-Up and Kickball Game (Fall 2005)
· Edgewood College Spring Break Fair (Spring 2006)
Our involvement in planning activities serves to:
*Promote a sense of community within Edgewood through increased
communication between peers, faculty, and staff by facilitating outings
and events.
*Help serve the surrounding community through volunteering, fundraising,
or implementing service events.
MEMBERSHIP:
1. Each
member fills out a contact information sheet
2.
Each member pays $10 dues annually to maintain
membership with the National
Communication Association. Being
part of this organization has the following benefits:

Receiving NCA Student Club bulletins and activity updates and ideas.

NCA
national conference info and assistance in proposal development for
conferences.

Fosters
alumni, faculty, peer and future business contacts.

Each
member receives a certificate for his or her portfolio.

Meetings: Are held once a month (TBD when)
Elections: Are held in the Spring for the following school
year. Executive board members will hold a term of one year (from May to
May).
